Many people who are dedicated to practicing yoga understand the benefits of meditation and relaxation. Yoga Nidra is a practice to rejuvenate and relax the body and mind and release tension. Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and the practitioner achieves very deep levels of relaxation and rest.

For this practice you will need:

  • Lay on the floor
  • Yoga mat
  • Blanket to cover yourself
  • Dark scarf, maybe a dark t-shirt to cover your eyes
  • Folded towel to rest your head on or a small pillow
  • A quiet room, without cell phones or other disturbances
